Bill is a Senior Consultant in the Hunt Valley headquarters of Asset Strategy Consultants. He has spent over thirty years in the investment business working as an executive for two major investment firms in Maryland. As an investment executive and as the former Chairman and a member of two investment committees, he has worked with endowments, foundations and retirement programs on issues regarding investment policy, manager and asset class selection, alternative investments evaluation, performance monitoring and portfolio accounting systems.

Bill was an employee and later a Special Partner and Managing Director of Alex. Brown & Sons and BT Alex. Brown for over 25 years. Bill then joined Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company as Senior Vice President in their Investment Management and Trust Division. He was subsequently appointed President of Mercantile Capital Advisors, Inc, a registered investment advisor, managing over $8 billion in client assets. Bill also established the investment group’s first full time Compliance Department.

Bill received a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Virginia, Graduate School of Business.
