Ted is Co-Founder, Principal and Senior Consultant in the Hunt Valley headquarters of
Asset Strategy Consultants. He is licensed with the Securities and Exchange
Commission as a Registered Investment Advisor. Since 1970, he has been a consultant
to endowments, foundations and retirement funds on investment strategy and the
selection and monitoring of investment managers. In 1972, Ted and six others started
The Pension Investment Fund, a mutual fund designed specifically for retirement plan
accounts. He was President of the Fund until 1976.

Ted earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Loyola College in Baltimore. He completed
courses in taxation, retirement planning, employee benefits and investments at The Johns Hopkins University and the
University of Baltimore. In addition, he completed the pension, profit sharing, and investment courses offered by Purdue
University and Fairleigh Dickinson University and served on the faculty of Purdue`s Pension and Profit Sharing Institute.
He completed the Presidents` Seminar at Harvard University`s Graduate School of Business. Ted has lectured to the
Sellinger Scholars at the Sellinger School of Business at Loyola College in Maryland on the subject of institutional
investing. He has completed the Callan College for Fiduciary Training, and attended The Endowment Institute at
Harvard Business School.
He is also a member of the Institute for Investment Management Consultants (IMC) and the Investment Association of
America.

Was founder and CEO of Herget and Company – the largest mid-Atlantic Pension Actuarial, Benefits and Investment
Consulting firm.
Was on the Board of Directors on the American Society of Pension Actuaries
Was on the Finance/Investment Committee of an American Stock Exchange company.
Has been on the Board of Trustees of five educational institutions and Chairman of the Board of two Universities and on
three Finance/Investment Committees.
Named Hibernian of the Year, 2009 for the State of Maryland
Ted is and has been very active in the local community, having served on the Board of Trustees of St. Paul School for
Girls, Maryvale School, and Loyola University. He is past Chairman of both the Boards of Stevenson University and
Loyola University. He currently serves on the Boards of Loyola’s Sellinger School of Business and Management and the
University of Maryland Medical System’s Shock Trauma Hospital. A cancer survivor, Herget’s miraculous recovery has
been written about in the Baltimore Business Journal and The Daily Record.
