Kent has more than 23 years of broad-based experience in financial and investment advisory services. Kent provides comprehensive, customized in-vestment advisory and retirement plan consulting, as well as counseling clients on asset allocation, fiduciary issues and investment strategies.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Kent was a founder and partner in a regional financial planning and wealth management practice, based outside of Boston. The firm was established to provide services on fiduciary issues for those concerned about their responsibilities investing the assets of endowments and foundations, ERISA retirement plans, private family trusts, and public employee retirement plans, as well as high net worth individuals. Kent’s focus is on investment design, participant and committee education, investment policy statement, and investment monitoring, in both the public and private sector.
During his career, Kent has lectured before numerous corporate and professional organizations on a variety of financial topics including estate planning, fiduciary education, and investment management, as well as pre and post-retirement planning, including Dalbar, RADA, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and National Financial Partners. Recently he was featured as a guest speaker for the New England Employee Benefit Council (NEBBC) discussing “Helping Retirement Plan Participants Reach Their Goals,” as a featured guest on the radio program, “The Careful Capitalist” based in Ann Arbor Michigan, and was a panelist at the Center For Due Diligence in Scottsdale, Arizona on Prudent Practices for Investment Advisors.
